….a wrought iron gate leads to and reaches the parking space, but still the trullo is not in view. The main entranceway to Trullo Kartari is concealed by the vibrant purple wisteria that hangs aloft the pathway and leads you inside.

The farmhouse dates back to the 18th century, mostly on a ground floor level, the conical-styled building with its extended corridors, reveals more areas and ambients with an almost magical hypnotic effect.

Friends & Family

A family home, a summer residence, receptive to generations of families, appreciated by everyone. It is fun, it is elegant, it is therapeutic.
Three good-sized bedrooms and two shower rooms; with the possibility of adding extra beds for adolescents seeking more privacy.

There are three double rooms, two of which have separable beds. There are three entrances, from different sides of the garden: there are two doors from the courtyard - one leads directly into a spacious double room, the “Yellow Room”, near a bathroom; another door opens into the original Trullo, composed of a private double room, the “Trullo Room”, and a small living room with sofa and fireplace, perfect for resting up your feet.

This area could also be used to add a couple of singles or a small double.
The third door opens on the other side of the villa, and close to the third bedroom, the “Pink Room”, the second bathroom, and the fabulous large open plan kitchen and living room, connected to the Trullo.

This is a super space and quite unusual for this type of holiday home as often the kitchens are small and dark. The kitchen window opens up onto a lovely view across the entangled courtyard with a gazebo, gardens, and onto the pool.

The kitchen is very well equipped and should you wish to dine within the cool walls of Trullo Kartari, there is a large wooden dining table. The open-plan living area has a comfy sofa by the fireplace where you can happily escape the midday sun with a good read or headphones.

The rear courtyard has a barbeque and a super old stone pizza oven that has been there for hundreds of years. Gazebo by the poolside to hide from the sun, but also the perfect spot to see the sun go down and watch the myriad of sunsets that Puglia has to offer.

Trullo Kartari is situated in the countryside of Specchiaruzzo, heart of the Valle d’itria and easily reached by the market towns of Cisternino (perhaps the nearest), Locorotondo and the baroque town of Martina Franca.

Celebrate Food

Our region holds a number of festivals ‘sagra’ during the year, mainly during the summer; celebrating religious anniversaries, customs, local food produce, crafts, wines and music. They offer huge amounts of evening entertainment with live music and usually fireworks to close the event. Each village opens its community doors offering their hospitality and locality to visitors. Be sure you enquire with us as to the nearest one to your holiday villa in Puglia to ensure you do not miss out on all the fun and festivities!

Exclusive for our Guests at Relax Puglia

Chef in Casa - Home-cooked food for travelers of the world; what better way to grasp the inner circle of local life than to have a local cook share with you their Puglia cuisine, as cooked in their homes. We are fortunate to have on board Lucrezia, who has been working with Relax Puglia for nearly ten years.

Lucrezia is warm and generous with a passion I can only envy for cooking; but looking after two growing boys has been her real inspiration; working magic with fresh and seasonal local ingredients. Enquire with us, we have set menus available to choose from or let us know what you’ve in mind.

Cooking Classes If you are looking to entertain the family and also wish to experience real Pugliese country cooking then look no further. Hands-on cooking lessons where everyone gets to be involved making a full course meal, from anti-pasto to first and second courses and to complete it with a traditional sweet dish.

In-house Massages - Life is easier when you are relaxed so you may need to pamper yourself or someone else. Bring the Massage Therapist to your Puglia rental villa door and enjoy a delicious massage, a fusion of eastern and western techniques pointing you towards both relaxation and cure.

The best part about bringing the Massage Therapist to your door is, you don’t have to drive, you don’t have to deal with the outside world, you don't even have to get dressed although the Therapist would appreciate you wear a robe!
