A place of privacy, a refuge tucked in the hills, of Ostuni, a single-storey country house with all the trimmings required of modern life and a roof terrace that boasts views of all that it surveys. A foothold in nature that inspires silence, relaxation and some welcome downtime.
Betwixt the white city of Ostuni and the charming market town of Cisternino, but a few kilometres from the village of Casalini which has general amenities, restaurants and bars. Whilst Ostuni needs no introduction for it is on the central line for major airports, public transport and most major attractions; the nearby Cisternino is a place to return to, an agricultural town thriving on its wine and olive production.
However, in recent years it is a hard contender for nightlife, festivals, top quality restaurants and it has fascinating maize of alleyways, courtyards, balconies in bloom, arches and an incredible view across the Itria Valley.
Friends & Family
Villa Ritorno is a family villa, sleeping six family members, close and extended, quite comfortably. Outside areas are great for the children too as there is plenty of open space and of course a swimming pool for their pleasure and yours.
The sunlight guides us to the bold L shaped veranda which wraps itself around the front entrance of the villa. The big, front window panes give the interiors a welcoming and natural light, overlooking the pool and garden area. Behind those panes is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining and lounge area with an air con unit.
The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven and cooking top with plenty of preparation counter space. From the main living space we take a corridor to the master bedroom with own private shower room which also faces the garden. The second double and twin bedrooms, share a shower room.
Additional facilities include a laundry room with fridge.
The rustic lane leading up the property from the main Ostuni / Cisternino road, a short drive, less than half a kilometre, passes through a semi residential area of holiday villas and trulli homes before arriving at Villa Ritorno. The villa is aloft, overlooking its neighbours, with a back drop of protected and largely unpassable bush and brush to its rearside.
The pool lays along the side of a stone-built wall, with a surrounding solarium for sun seekers. A brick built BBQ is available within close proximity to the main kitchen and dining facilities.
