Trulli Satia, sits upon the earth, inviting silent contemplation of dreams and an awe-inspiring side of life. The trullo and lamia complex is enclosed by vineyards and olive groves, wedged into the timeless Valle d’Itria, the home of the trullo (conical dry-stone houses) and dairy farmsteads.
Location
In the panoramic valley lie the fascinating white hilltop towns of Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ceglie Messapica and Martina Franca. The charming market town of Cisternino being the nearest to Trulli Satia, with a drive of approximately 6kms.
For cyclists, walkers and trekkers, the nearby ‘Ciclovia dell’Acquedotto Pugliese’, a non-vehicle track, is conveniently located and accessible to visitors Trulli Satia. The 500 km historic and original water system construction brought water to Puglia from Caposele in the early 20th century from the province of Avellino in the Campania district and runs through the Valle d’itria connecting the local towns and equally serve as a natural path to explore, as you wish, through the countryside and the ‘Contrade’ of the Valle d’Itria.

The Interiors
A family of drystone cones, lovingly restored, perched on a stone courtyard that interlaces the original conical structure to the recently built, barrel shaped, lamia (barn style) accommodation.
From the shaded courtyard, you are accompanied in to the elongated and open plan seating/dining and kitchen area featuring reclaimed traditional stone ‘chianche’ flooring, soft textures, and age-old furniture items to give it that welcoming farmhouse mood.
The kitchen is typically well equipped for Italian dinners and long lunches, nothing has been forgotten!
A narrow corridor brings us to the night-time zone, the master bedroom and a big spacious bathroom beholding wellness. You then pass through an area of contemplation, before entering two bedrooms, a twin and a guest double with ensuite.
Offset, the lamia accommodation is a self-contained unit, air conditioned with an agreeable sleeping/living expanse and a view towards the elevated poolside.
The Exteriors
Sharp distinct stone faced trullo and lamia by day, by night a romantic context of colours under the clear starlit skies. Trulli Satia is an indulgent and toxicating rhythm of Mediterranean fragrances, tenacious architecture in an unspoilt countryside.
The courtyard breathes a welcoming hug, a stone table to entertain family and friends whilst the Chef delivers dishes deeply rooted in tradition, simplicity and mouth-watering bites.
